JOB TITLE: BPO/ITES LIAISON TRAINEES (2)
REPORTS TO: PROGRAMME OFFICER (BPO)
DIRECTORATE: E-GOVERNMENT SERVICES
DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ENABLED SERVICES (ITES)
DURATION: 6MONTHS
Purpose of the Job:
To liaise between the BPO Operators and NITA-U and Provide first line IT and administrative Support for the BPO Centre
Key Results Area/Accountabilities
- To gain as much knowledge of the organisation as possible and receive relevant training in providing first line support for a BPO Centre.
- To receive the relevant training in performing duties within the Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) department which include but not limited to the following:
- Redirect or escalate support requests to the appropriate member of the NITA BPO Team
- Oversee the execution of support and maintenance services as per the agreed Service level Agreement
- Pro-actively provide information/reports to the operators and NITA on the progress of outstanding support calls
- Provide technical support to telephone and email requests from users for all PC hardware, software and associated peripherals.
- Deploy PCs and associated peripherals including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment.
- Ensure the existing PCs and peripherals are maintained to standards determined by the IT Team, by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures on behalf of NITA-U
- Liaise with the BPO programme team at NITA-U head office to ensure continuity of service at the BPO Centre
- Liaise with any service providers contracted by NITA-U to provide services to the Center and the operators
- Provide administrative support in the management and day to day operations of the center
- Develop and maintain active and progressive working relationships with the BPO Operators.
- Undertake such other work as may be assigned which is consistent with the nature of the job and its level of responsibility.
- Set out and achieve performance goals with senior management in the directorate.
- To observe experienced staff and gain knowledge on procedures, methods and standards required for performing departmental duties.
Qualifications
- University degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related field
- At least one year of relevant working experience is desirable I. T Institution.
Skills/Competencies
- Analytical and problem –solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Be able to work under pressure;
- Have willingness to learn and be highly adaptable to change.
- Ability to compile reports
