NITA-U meets with Innovators and Academia to discuss Systems Integration

Government of Uganda (GoU) through NITA-U seeks to integrate all information systems in Government so that data can seamlessly be shared between the systems in a rational, secure, efficient and sustainable manner to enhance public service delivery.

NITA-U held a meeting with innovators, developers and academia to discuss how Systems Integration can enhance innovation in Uganda.

The meeting was another opportunity to discuss plans and ideas to further strengthen the partnership between the Government and the youth to develop e-Services and most importantly developing home grown solutions that are affordable,relevant,cosumable and self-sustaining.

Speaking at the event Director e-Government Services Peter Kahiigi pledged support and collaboration with innovators to ensure maximizing of home grown IT solutions to improve service delivery to Ugandans.

 System Integration will bring about a unified way of sharing information that will ease business operations in Uganda and improve Government service delivery to citizen.

Through the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance NITA-U will support and equip innovators with relevant knowledge and skills so as to overcome some of their major challenges, providing channels for these young innovators to perfect home-made solutions that are relevant to the needs in Government and society in order to propel the ICT industry to greater heights.
