NITA-U appoints Edmond Macheli as project coordinator of Uganda Digital Acceleration Program (UDAP

Edmond joins us as the UDAP/GovNet project coordinator. He has over 17 years of experience in Project Management and Technology Consulting work, in both the Public and Private sector; including World Bank-funded projects.

He has held various roles in different organizations such as the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development - Uganda (IFMS Accountant), AH Consulting Limited (CEO), Ministry of Finance/Public Services Commission - Ghana (HCM Consultant), and Savannah Group (Director, Advisory Services). He has worked in several countries, including Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mozambique, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Sudan.

He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - UK, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association - USA & Uganda Chapter, and an Alumnus of Makerere University (Bcom), Heriot-Watt University (MBA), and Harvard Kennedy School of Government (PFM).

He is passionate about Digital Transformation for countries and regional blocks. He believes that Government's move to accelerate connectivity across the country will boost Social Economic Transformation by laying the rails for emerging technologies to foster digital inclusion.

Edmond loves art and design, is a fitness enthusiast, occasional golfer and foodie.
